Bethlehem
As the final play of Proxy's second season, we travel to El Paso with Lee Rosenblum to eek out the real story behind Mateo Buenaventura-- the recently released murderer. This dark play from El Paso native and Trinity University alum Octavio Solis is sure to make your skin crawl, your jaw drop, and your heart beat wildly. Winner of the 2003 National Latino Playwriting Award, Bethlehem is about the nature of evil-- how it can infect those around it.
Opens August 22nd at The Overtime Theatre. Shows are Thursday-Saturday at 8pm.
