Join award winning singer-songwriter Abby Zotz and her Honey of a Band in celebration of fashion, food and The Feminine. Sample originals from her highly acclaimed solo debut A Taste of Honey" and covers by women and in praise of women; welcome spring with a new line of women's clothing brought together by brilliant Canadian designer Margot Allin; top off the sweetness with fair trade, locally-sourced bevies and treats. MEET THE BAND
Abby Zotz - vocals, guitar, percussion
Abby Zotz is a singer-songwriter, multi-instrumentalist and artist educator who makes her home in Port Hope. Her first solo CD, Local Honey was released in October of 2018 and is winning North American acclaim for its infectious melodic folk-pop feel and deeply human message. She was one half of the folk-trad duo Two Roads Home and one-third of early music group Strings Attached. Abby directs three Shout Sister! women's choirs and teaches both privately and for the Royal Conservatory. She is winner of L.A. Music Critics 2018 International Artist of the Year.

Anna Marie Therrien - vocals
Anna Marie Therrien is a home-grown talent. Growing up in Kitchener, Ontario there was always music in her familys home. She grew up listening to and singing with her guitar-playing father, brothers, uncle and cousins. No family gathering occurred without live entertainment. The music of her childhood was predominantly country but Anna Marie soon came to love all music. After many years raising children and singing in her kitchen or her garden, Anna Marie is now realizing a dream of singing for an audience. Hail, mother!
Anne Gingras - vocals
Anne is from La Belle Province and has lived in Toronto for many years now. What brought her to Toronto was the dream of becoming a professional dancer. After many years of training her dream came true. Her dance/singing career took her on many tours in unusual places. Middle East, Europe and CFS Alert. She has also traveled the seas performing on a few cruise ships. Now she enjoys singing in the band Local Honey with her bestie Abby Zotz.
Chris Saunders - vocals and guitar, uke, lap steel, etc
Chris is the only member of the band who is not of the female persuasion, but we won't hold that against him;) A long time resident of Uxbridge, he has been primarily a guitarist for many years but has recently found time to explore some other instruments, mandolin, ukulele, dobro and banjo. A few years ago, while playing a concert with the Celtic group Claidhmor, he met Abby Zotz, who happened to be on the same bill. It was a very lucky day for Chris and the musical friendship that developed between them has been very rewarding, allowing him to explore new and exciting ways to compliment Abbys beautiful voice and inspired songwriting. Abby and Chris played together as a duo for a while and then, in anticipation of the release of Abbys solo album, Local Honey, they started inviting other talented friends to join them, resulting finally in the group you see tonight.
MEET THE DESIGNER - Margot Allin
Margot Allin's grandmother lived through the depression taught her how to sew; they would take apart old clothes and remodel them. Through her Margot learned about fine fabrics, becoming skilled at running her hands over racks of fabric at the Goodwill to find silk and wools she could refurbish into her own styles. Soon, friends were asking her to make garments for them and this developed into the amazing venue that ADF is today: uniquely modern and Canadian clothing, inspired by the fabric first and imbued with a passion for retro designs. https://heycountry.ca/adf/shop/
