FREE 2013 Ride Aboard the Shearwater Classic Schooner - ONE WAY from North Cove Marina to Liberty State Park
Climb aboard the elegant Shearwater Classic Schooner for a one-of-a-kind sightseeing voyage across New York Harbor. Inaugurated in 1929, and recognized as a national landmark in 2009, the Shearwater is a classic Newport-style schooner yacht that offers an exquisite setting for taking in majestic skyline and harbor vistas.
THIS IS A ONE-WAY TRIP FROM NORTH COVE MARINA TO LIBERTY STATE PARK. To return to Manhattan, you may take a free ferry to Governors Island. Once there, you can enjoy the City of Water Day festivities and then take a free ferry to the Battery-Maritime Building in Lower Manhattan. Alternatively, you may also take the Liberty Landing Ferry ($7 for adults, $5 for children--click here for the ferry schedule) or the Free Shuttle Bus to the Liberty State Park Hudson-Bergen Light Rail Station (click here for more information on rail transit to Manhattan).
Plan to arrive at North Cove Marina (at the World Financial Center, near the intersection of Liberty Street and South End Avenue in Lower Manhattan) at least 45 minutes before your tour. You will pick up tickets at the ticketing table. Present your ID or a print out of your reservation confirmation to receive your tickets.
Please arrive at the ticketing table at least 30 minutes before the tour to pick up your tickets.
Tickets not claimed 15 minutes before the tour may be given to those in the standby line.
