SEE JANE QUIT by Beth Kander

Jane, a neurotic waitress, needs to quit smoking. Her loved ones concur--so when she announces that she's quitting "for real," they're supportive. In fact, they're a little TOO supportive. Each has a problem--from a looming divorce to a sexual crisis--and nobody wants to bring Jane any news that might lead her to quit quitting. With all these secrets floating around, who would suspect that Jane is keeping the biggest secret of all?

Fondren Theatre Workshop presents the Mississippi premier of our own Beth Kander's newly published play. "See Jane Quit" received its first full public reading as a finalist in New Stage Theatre's 2010 Eudora Welty New Play Series, so we are pleased to have New Stage as the co-sponsor and host for this production at The Warehouse Theatre, July 25-28 and August 1-4, at 7:30 PM. The cast includes Malaika Quarterman, Juniper Wallace, Deja Abdul-Haqq, Michael Kinslow, and Matt Faries, directed by Diana Howell.
