PoeFest 2013 at the Hotel San Carlos
Our fifth annual Edgar Allan Poe festival will be held inside the Ghost Lounge at the famous Hotel San Carlos (listed in the top ten most haunted hotels in America) every Friday and Saturday night in October at 8pm in downtown Phoenix, Arizona. Produced by Arizona Curriculum Theater, PoeFest is a month-long celebration of the works of Edgar Allan Poe. PoeFest is not a reading, but professional actors performing Poe's works as inmates of a 19th Century asylum for the criminally insane.
Poe's stories rotate nightly with a total running time of approximately one hour. Stories for 2013 include The Raven, Annabel Lee, The Cask of Amontillado, The Black Cat, The Tell-Tale Heart, and more. New for 2013 we are also including Mary Shelley's Dream, from the author of the famous Gothic novel "Frankenstein: or, The Modern Prometheus".
Tickets are $20 (plus processing fees) and proceeds benefit Arizona Curriculum Theater's school programs. Please join us for the premier Halloween event in downtown Phoenix!
