Spontaneous Storytelling - Oakland

Spontaneous Storytelling is a different kind of storytelling show that combines the fun of meeting new people with hearing and telling true stories.

Do you have funny or amazing stories from your life? Do you enjoy true storytelling along the lines of The Moth? Are you wanting to have more connection and affection in your life? This event is for you.

How it works:
The event starts with a social game, then we select themes, then we take turns telling stories until we run out of time. The social game makes it easy to get up on stage, because you've just met people in the bar. It's optional, but highly recommended.

The answers from the game become part of the show. Then it's time for storytelling. Put your name in the hat for a chance to tell a true, 5-minute story from your own life. It's called Spontaneous because themes are decided spontaneously right before the stories begin.

Anyone who gets up to tell a true story wins a free drink!
