Ballet Tucson - Spring Concert (Dance & Dessert 2014)
Ballet Tucson's Spring Concert serves as the grand finale to the 2013-2014 season. Ballet Tucson's artists showcase their versatility and the company's eclectic repertoire in this 17th annual presentation of Dance & Dessert. Gourmet dessert tastings from Tucson's best restaurants and eateries will be served after each performance.
Program: Mendelssohn Piano Concerto - choreography by Mary Beth Cabana As a salute to Ballet Tucson's 10th professional season, the Founding Artistic Director revives the company's inaugural work.
Borrowed Baroque (Ballet Tucson premiere) - choreography by Sam Watson Sam Watson's unique and humorous interpretation of Baroque music and dance.
Tomorrow Never Knows (world premiere) - choreography by Chieko Imada A contemporary look at the timeless music of The Beatles.
Two Touch - choreography by Margaret Mullin & Andrew Bartee Princess Grace Award winners Margaret Mullin and Andrew Bartee collaborate on a fresh, intricate duet.
New works by: Daniel Precup (Ballet Master) - TBA Suzanne Erlon (former ballerina with New York City Ballet) - TBA Deanna Doncsecz (Principal Dancer) - TBA
