D.I.R.T. Festival - Workshop with PODER
As part of the D.I.R.T. Festival - Dance In Revolt(ing) Times, Dance Mission is thrilled to present a workday a with PODER on climate change at the Secret Garden (23rd and Harrison).*
Participants will learn about what it means to be stewards of the earth and our immediate neighborhood as we care for the Secret Garden in the Mission.
PODER is a grassroots environmental justice organization rooted in the Mission and Excelsior. PODERs mission is to organize with Latino immigrant families and youth to put into practice people-powered solutions that are locally based, community led and environmentally just. They nurture everyday peoples leadership, regenerate culture, and build community power.
