Thriving in the Face of Life's Challenges -Ruth Cherry

All humans encounter challenges, whether they be health-related, emotional or relationship issues, financial or circumstantial issues. These challenges can be expected or unexpected.
Although we may not have the power to change an issue, we do have power over how we handle it. Ruth Cherry, PhD, will discuss our choice to move beyond coping to thriving in the face of lifes challenges. We all have resources available to us but we often don't know what they are or how to access them.
In this innovative Thriving class, Ruth will discuss how to move more deeply inside ourselves. This course is designed for men and women who have (or want to assist people who have) suffered unwelcome change, loss or turmoil and are seeking to enhance their outlook on life.
Your instructor will explain the role of the intellect, the Controller, the Spiritual Warrior, and the importance of always being on our own side. She will discuss surrender and allowing as strategies for bypassing our intellect and moving into the peace and wisdom that always exist at our center.
In a safe, casual and non-judgmental environment, your instructor will offer discussions and presentations (and practices of meditations and journal writing) about surviving lifes challenges and developing a positive and thriving outcome. Interaction will be encouraged, but not required.
