Aria Kidding, Kate Offer, Soprano and Eric Howe, Piano
Inspired by great singing comediennes like Madeline Kahn, Kristin Chenoweth, and Anna Russell, trained as a classical singer, and wanting to avoid auditioning, Kate Offer created Aria Kidding as a comic solo song recital and then roped in her extremely talented and long-suffering accompanist and voice teacher Eric Howe to make it look like she knew what she was doing.
Through a program that varies endlessly but never seems to end, Kate ruins a variety of song styles from opera to musical theater and a few places in-between. In spite of Kate and Eric's best efforts, audiences praise Aria Kidding as "funny," and "not as bad as I expected," and "#superdeedooperwhangbangterrific." Intrigued? Concerned? Confused? Best to attend and see what all the fuss is about.
