2013 FREE Trip on Schooner Pioneer - Round Trip from Governors Island
This is a 90-minute round trip from Hughes Brothers Barge on Governors Island.
Haul on lines to raise sail, see the sights of the Harbor, and ask the Pioneer Educator about the marine ecology and maritime history all around us! Launched in 1885, and still traditionally rigged and sailed, Pioneer remains a living connection to her 128-year heritage.
Plan to arrive at Governors Island at least 45 minutes before your tour. You will pick up tickets at the ticketing table, located by Yankee Pier. Present your ID or a print out of your reservation confirmation to receive your tickets.
Please arrive at the ticketing table at least 30 minutes before the tour to pick up your tickets.
Tickets not claimed 15 minutes before the tour may be given to those in the standby line.
