2013 FREE Exploring New York's Architecture from the Water on NY Waterway Ferryboat - Round Trip from Governors Island
New York Harbor and the canyons of the Financial District are perhaps the most iconic pictures of the City, represented in countless film, photo, and television close-ups. Yet for all this seeming familiarity, few of us know the names of the buildings we're seeing, who their architects were, and when were they built. This tour will answer these questions and pose a few of its own.
Plan to arrive at Governors Island at least 45 minutes before your tour. You will pick up tickets at the ticketing table, located by Yankee Pier. Present your ID or a print out of your reservation confirmation to receive your tickets.
Please arrive at the ticketing table at least 30 minutes before the tour to pick up your tickets.
Tickets not claimed 15 minutes before the tour may be given to those in the standby line.
