Women's Empowerment: Fighting Slavery & Sex Abuse
The Chappaqua Performing Arts Center
Chappaqua, NY
Share this event:

Hear From Journalist and Filmmaker Marisa Fox and Micol Rieger, Coordinator of the Sex Trafficking & Prevention Initiative at MetCouncil.

Marisa Fox's documentary, My Underground Mother, traces Marisa's search for her mother's hidden identity, which led her to a larger, overlooked story of Nazi trafficking during the Holocaust. Micol Rieger will provide an historical context of sexual violence toward women in the U. S. and how sex-trafficking and slavery continues today in America. It is a global $32 billion industry with nearly one-third of that revenue generated in the U. S.
