Screening, From the Quarters to Lincoln Heights
A screening of the 2011 award winning film "From the Quarters to Lincoln Heights" documenting the African American history of early lumber towns in Siskiyou County. Fundraiser will support the creation of a new project "Voices of the Golden Ghosts." This project, partially funded through a grant from Cal Humanities, will explore the little known history of African Americans in Shasta and Siskiyou counties during the gold rush.
