3/9 - SYRUP Day 1
Brunch and a show! Piti Theatre Companys 10th Annual SYRUP: One Sweet Performing Arts Festival at the Shelburne-Buckland Community Center, 53 Main Street in Shelburne Falls, MA on March 9 celebrates the running of sap in New England maples with a Pancake Party featuring a choice of local syrups along with a potpourri of theater performances for all ages, music, childrens activities, syrup-tasting . . . and free pickles. Award-winning Alex the Jester will perform his internationally acclaimed border-blurring gibberish-inspired clown performance for all ages at 3:30 pm on 3/9. Alex has been seen on PBS, Americas Got Talent, Just for Laughs in Montreal and off-Broadway. While most comedy engages the language center of our brains, Alexs visual humor, sight gags, and light-hearted music bypasses the head and goes straight to the heart.

Pitis local history inspired family-audiences musical Olde Coleraine returns after a three-year hiatus, performed by their Youth Troupe, local actors, ensemble members and singer-songwriter Carrie Ferguson at 2:30 pm on 3/9. The performance is inspired by the history of mill town Colrain, Massachusetts between 1870  1906. The Pancake Party with a costumed waitstaff and live music includes free admission from 11 am  2:30 pm. Tickets for Saturday's shows are $12 for adults, $10 students/seniors, $5 children 12 and under and EBT card holders. Cash or check at the door, online at www.ptco.org/syrup or 1-800-838-3006.
