Make a Walking Stick Basket

Over the weekend you will learn to use willow to make a round basket. As you weave up this tall basket you will be able to try several different weaves creating patterns and texture.

This is a great class for complete beginners and also for those who have done some basketmaking before and who really want to get to grips with basic basketry/willowweaving skills and also learn a few different side weaves. It is a great sample basket with different weaves that you can refer back to in the future.

Beginners will learn;-

Make a base, upsetting and weaving the sides of a basket, turning down the border.

Improvers will be able to refine the above skills as well as learn a different method of upsetting and learn new/different side weaves.

There will only be six people in this class so plenty of individual attention and advice on techniques

Tea and coffee and biscuits/snacks are provided. There is are local pubs and cafes where you could buy lunch or else you are welcome to bring your own to eat in the hall or outside
All materials are included in the price and all tools needed are provided.

CANCELLATION POLICY
Payment is required in full at the time of booking to secure a place. In the event of cancellation, a full refund can be obtained from Brown Paper Tickets up to two months prior to the date of the class.
If you need to cancel after this please contact me. I will give you an 80% refund if your place can be filled by someone else. I will make all reasonable effort to fill your place but if this is not possible I will not be able to offer a refund. In the event of non attendance no refund will be given. If the course cannot run for any reason, a full refund will be given.
