Featuring teen jazz and Motown bands, hop-hop and Bollywood dancers, viola and piano performances, a cappella voices, maybe even a little magic!

Dinner includes BBQ chicken, Spanish potatoes, Latino salad, plantains, rice pudding with fruit topping. Bring your own wine or beer. Thank you chefs Peter Brenner, Eric Greenberg, and Alex Orlowski!

Teens from the Rivertowns' emerging Faith & Justice Leadership Lab have been participating in Bridges to Community and Teens4PR service learning work trips for the past three years. These trips provide them with an opportunity to build and repair homes in Nicaragua, Puerto Rico, and the Dominican Republic, get to know families in those communities, as well as for them to reflect about life, faith, values and the world in which we live.

This new scholarship fund will help defray the costs for teens to participate in these projects. A portion of the scholarship funds go directly to pay for the construction materials needed to build the houses.

FAITH & JUSTICE LEADERSHIP LAB is a K-12 program that nurtures faith through sacred stories including our own experiences . . . and explores the link between faith and justice for all God's children.

For the teenage years in particular our goal is to nurture the confidence, skills, joy, and collective leadership of young people while offering them opportunities to be part of the change they want to see in the world.

We meet monthly for team-building challenges, cooking and eating together, volunteering for local helping organizations, and developing relationships with adults who share what's important to them. Opportunities for service trips happen once or twice a year.
