Join us for the 7th Annual Venus Rising: All Women Art Exhibition!!
The goal of this event is to raise community awareness to all of the amazing female artists that are in the Southeast Michigan area, and honor all of the different types of art media that these women use to pursue their artistic ambitions and careers.
FRIDAY APRIL 26th 6-9pm - EXCLUSIVE PREVIEW GALA
* A chance to see and buy the art at a discounted rate before the main show

SATURDAY APRIL 27th 6-11pm - MAIN EVENT
*One-of-a-kind art installation displaying dozens of amazing Michigan artists
*Live painting and body painting demonstrations all night
*Music and stage performances such as burlesque, poetry readings, dancers, aerialists and so much more!!
*Local craft vendors and businesses selling their arts, and merchandise
*Art raffle for dozens of original art, prints, gift certificates and more

Almost all art displayed will be for sale, so you can take the show home with you!
Full bar is available. Parking is available on the streets or you may choose the secured and gated lot across the street for $5.
In addition, a portion of the ticket sales will go to Alternatives for Girls (http://alternativesforgirls.org/) which is an organization that helps homeless and high-risk girls and young women avoid violence, teen pregnancy and exploitation, and helps them to explore and access the support, resources and opportunities necessary to be safe, to grow strong and to make positive choices in their lives. AFG accomplishes this mission through three key services: AFG Prevention, the AFG Shelter/Transition to Independent Living Program (TIL) and AFG Outreach.
