Education First 5th Annual Wine Tasting & Auction
Education First is hosting its Fifh Annual Wine Tasting and Auction on September 12th, 2008. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. Wine and appetizers begin at 7:00 p.m. This event will help us reach our annual fundraising goals. Your donation will benefit Education Firsts scholarship programs.
Founded in 1995, Education First believes that higher education is critical to enhancing one's life and community. We are a unique scholarship program in that we focus primarily on the character, commitment, and vision of studentstest score and class ranking receive much less attention. Our scholars face significant life challenges, and are often from disadvantaged backgrounds. The support that we provide aids them in the pursuit of a better life.
In Seattle, Education First awards scholarships to exceptional students at Chief Sealth, Cleveland, and Rainier Beach High School. We also administer scholarship programs in Denver, Portland, San Francisco, Los Angeles, and Austin. Since 1996, Education First has awarded over $150,000 through its unique scholarship program.
