Spring wildflowers and plant uses
Join California Naturalist, John Lynch, on a guided nature walk from the sublime beauty of shooting stars to the 25-foot dramatic plunge of Sonoma Creek. Beginning at the Visitor Center, we'll follow Pony Gate Trail's grassy slope, into mixed evergreen forest, along Canyon Trail's shady riparian corridor to the waterfall. The return takes us back uphill, across Adobe Canyon Road for our return on the now familiar Pony Gate trail. We will take our time enjoying frequent stops to identify wildflowers and talk about traditional uses of the plants we encounter. Approximately 2 miles with 450-foot elevation gain.
