Sacred Circle Dance for Summer Solstice
come learn these ancient, simple dances, fall under the spell of music and candlelight, and feel time soften and fall away. no experience necessary, all are welcome!
dances led by anja daniel, an extraordinary teacher and minstrel from new england.

the dance will be held at 7737 Pearman Quarry Road, Kernersville, NC, 27284.
From GREENSBORO: Take 68 North; through intersection with 150 (Oakridge Military Academy, VillageStore, Lowe's Foods). Continue on 68 North another 3.2 miles to next light. Take a LEFT onto Haw River Road , proceed 0.8 miles; take RIGHT onto Warner , proceed 0.7 miles; take third RIGHT onto Pearman Quarry Road , proceed 1.0 miles; take a LEFT through wooden gates.
From GREENSBORO, you can also come up 220 N (Battleground); take a LEFT onto 150 West (which is the light AFTER 150E at Food Lion). Proceed to intersection with 68N, take a RIGHT onto 68 N, then follow directions as above.
From WINSTON-SALEM, get onto I-40 business East/US-421 (via exit 188 if you are on I-40 E coming from points further west) After 8.1 miles, merge onto US-158E via exit number 8 toward Walkertown/Reidsville. Go 14 miles, then turn RIGHT onto Anthony Road. (Street sign missing;it is the road after Happy Hill Road, just after green signs telling you you are entering Guilford County and Cape Fear River Basin) At bottom of hill take a RIGHT onto Pearman Quarry Road. Go 0.4 miles and take right through wooden gates. NOTE:house numbers are not in order; follow mileage.
From CHAPEL HILL, as you approach Greensboro, keep right to take 1-40W (instead of taking new 40 bypass, which takes longer but will connect you back to I-40 W in time for next exit) via EXIT 131 toward I-70/Greensboro/Winston-Salem. Take the NC-68 exit, Exit 210, which is the SECOND airport exit, the one AFTER Gallimore Dairy Road. At the light at the end of the ramp, take a RIGHT onto 68, stay on 68 and follow the first set of directions above.
From CHARLOTTE, if you come up I-85, once you get near Greensboro, follow all the signs for the airport/I-40 West. Take the NC-68 exit, Exit 210, which is the SECOND airport exit, the one AFTER Gallimore Dairy Road. At the light at the end of the ramp, take a RIGHT onto 68, stay on 68 and follow the first set of directions above. Be aware that you will see a sign much earlier on I-85, which also tells you it will take you to the Piedmont Triad International Airport; this actually takes you onto Highway 52. If you go this way, go all the way to I-40 BUSINESS East , then follow the directions from Winston-Salem given above. If you take the I-40 East bypass instead, you can get off on Exit 210.

Drive along the driveway until you see an open area to the right side of the driveway (if you come to the house, you've gone too far!), you can park there. FIRE PAVILION is down a small path to the left. Look for candles and dancers, listen for music!
Please note that mapquest and GPS, at the very end of your trip if coming up 68, will have you overshoot and go all the way into Stokesdale to get onto Highway 158. No big deal, will still get you there, but takes a bit longer, and you'll want to note that the house numbers are out of order on Pearman Quarry Road coming from Anthony Road.
Bring: a picnic dish to share, a blanket or camp chair to sit on, comfortable clothing, shoes or bare feet for dancing, any and all musical instruments, a donation for the dance teacher and the land! Can't wait to see you there!
