A genre-busting evening of spoken word giving the mic to female poets, MCs and rock goddesses.
Featuring poets from around Kent this is a true celebration of womens words. From Aphra Behn to Patti Smith and Queen Latifah, women have excelled in the art of using words to take a stand. On this night we shine light on the often underrated talent of women writers and unearth new powerful voices. In the mix will be wordy tunes from a featured DJ, so stick around for a dance.
Things With Words is a spoken word event melding new writing with music and performance, hosted by Ramsgate-based artist Megan Garrett-Jones.
