John Carroll University Editor-In-Chief - The Carroll News, Olivia Shackleton, will facilitate this school year's Wednesday after-school meetings. She will introduce the students to newspaper publishing through personal experience. Students will discuss and identify parts of the newspaper and explore and dissect several local and national papers. Students will flex their writing muscles with fun and news-inspired writing exercises and decide on what they'd like to contribute to our school newspaper. Feature articles, comics, interviews, book reviews, word searches - all ideas are welcome and anything goes. The sky is the limit! Every participant will find their place and be credited. Students will be exposed, also, to a professionally designed newspaper template and work in Google Docs, Gmail, Microsoft Office and Adobe In-Design. We are looking forward to another great edition.
