Dogfight
The eve before they venture halfway around the world and into the thick of the Vietnam War, a group of young American soldiers want to play a game. They plan to host a party, and he who brings the most unattractive girl as his date wins the pot. When Eddie meets diner waitress Rose, he thinks he's sure to win, but as Rose's extraordinary personality begins to shine, Eddie is forced to confront the barbaric cruelty of the "dogfight," leading him on a journey of self-discovery and examination of the way he interacts with the world around him. A harrowing and timeless tale, "Dogfight" illuminates the ability everyone has to change and the endless wonders and fortitude of human compassion. (TW: Dogfight contains a scene of rape as well as explicit depiction of death in war with disturbing and realistic sound effects of explosions and gunfire.)
