Theatre at Granite Bay presents an adventurous and ambitious production of Qui Nguyens She Kills Monsters. The story follows high school senior Agnes Evans, as she deals with the death of her younger sister Tilly. When Agnes finds Tillys Dungeons & Dragons notebook, however, she stumbles into a journey of discovery and action-packed adventure in the imaginary world that was Tillys refuge.
Set in 1990s, this fast paced, full of energy production is filled with jaw dropping stage combat, a colorful cast of extraordinary and unusual characters, and a rocking 90s soundtrack sure to bring all the nostalgic feels. Obie Award winning playwright Qui Nguyen challenges traditional theatrical concepts with inspiration to find the adventurous, nerdy, and heroic spirit in all of us as we embrace who we are, and be fearlessly proud of being different
This production is guest directed by Joelle Robertson, a local actor, stage manager, director, producer and member of the Actor's Equity Association.
