Girls on Grass House Concert (& album release party)
Roots Hoot House Concerts welcomes back Brooklyn-based twang rock & rollers Girls on Grass on Saturday, April 27 to celebrate the release of the bands brand new album due out in early April. Girls on Grass was formed by singer-guitarist Barbara Endes and drummer Nancy Polstein, who joined forces after discovering they shared a mutual admiration stoked by seeing each other play around New York City's rock and country scenes. This meeting of the minds inspired a burst of songwriting, and not long after the release of the bands self-titled debut album in early 2016. Rounding out the lineup is experimental-music bassist and WFMU deejay Dave Mandl and David Michael Weiss on guitars.Doors will open at 7:00 pm and music starts at 7:30 pm. It is BYOB and a "lite bite" potluck.
