Medicaid Counselor Training
Avisery is holding a Medicaid Counselor Training on Friday, November 15th in Oak Park, IL. We are pleased to announce that we will be offering 5.5 CEU credits at this training! Please read the information below for training topics and registration information.
Training Description:
This one-day training is geared towards professionals new to the field of counseling older adults and people with disabilities on their healthcare benefit options or professionals who need a refresher on healthcare benefits. The program will provide an introduction to Medicaid, Medicaid managed care programs, Medicaid Spenddown and an overview of the Health Insurance Marketplace.
Training Registration fee:
The last day to register for the training is November 13th! There is a $350 fee for representatives of for-profit organizations, health plans, health care providers, hospitals (including nonprofit hospitals), or membership organizations to attend the Medicaid Counselor Training.
Both our Medicare & Medicaid Counselor Trainings are grant subsidized for certain community-based agencies. If you work for a community-based non-profit or government agency, you are able to register for the training at a discounted rate of $75. Please email Avisery@ageoptions.org with your name, phone number, and agency information to receive a coupon code for this discounted rate.
The Training fee includes:
5.5 CEU credits for the full day of training.
An interactive based training on Medicaid topics, including presentations provided by the AgeOptions team, interactive case studies and activities to practice your knowledge, and opportunities to ask your difficult client questions and receive follow up assistance after the training.
A training binder that includes all presentation handouts, helpful reference charts, guides, and fact sheets to assist you in client counseling.
Light breakfast in the morning and refreshments throughout the training.
Important Training Guidelines:
As described in our Training Registration Guidelines, all participants are expected to attend the entire day of training.
Please Note- In order to make this an accessible event for all and accommodate attendees with sensitivities or allergies to fragrances, we ask that you please refrain from bringing or wearing products that emit fragrances or scents.
