Fear Force & Family Separations: Human Rights Violations at the US Mexico Border
Fear Force and Family Separations: Human Rights Violations at the US Mexico Border is program intended to raise awareness about and funding for the children and families of asylum seekers and immigrants attempting to cross the US Mexico Border.
Trump has enacted a campaign of terror against immigrants and asylum seekers designed by his senior policy adviser Stephen miller and former attorney general Jeff sessions. Together they have waged a vicious war against immigrants in general and specifically refugee children and families escaping violence and atrocities from their Central American homelands. Children between the ages of 1 and 12 are experiencing cruel and inhumane treatment in the custody of ICE which forcibly separates children from their families holding them indefinitely in detention centers and substandard holding facilities. Children are suffering daily from the trauma of losing their families and are forced to endure mental, physical and emotional abuse. Under the custody of ICE, 2 children have died so far.
Not even members of congress are allowed by the Trump Administration to visit most centers to assess conditions Like all actions of repression and inhumanity these operations are happening in the cover of darkness away from public light.
We have all felt despair and outrage over these actions. But each of us can do something to attempt to stop these violations. We must inform ourselves and take whatever actions we can to support nuestra gente de las Americasour people of the Americas. This fundraiser will offer us both information and opportunities to take action.
