The Illuminated Ball

The Illuminated Ball is a delightful evening of theatrical pageantry and live music. The primary fundraiser for the Procession Art Studio, the annual Ball brims with the camaraderie of those seeking to elevate the standing of the natural world, both in our lives and for generations to come.

This years luminary and dance pageant, Orca Moon, draws inspiration from our southern resident Orca whale community, and their tenacity and fragility. Through original music and choreography, aerial performance, and signature luminary lanterns, the pageant will offer a poignant and stirring reflection about whats at stake when a species becomes extinct and its narrative in the community of nature goes silent.

As the pageant performance ends, the party begins with The Lumen dance band, playing music influenced by groups such as The Band, Phish, and the Rolling Stones. Theyll play until 1:00 AM! Dress to illuminate! (Check them out on Facebook at: https://www.facebook.com/olylumen/)

Throughout the evening, there will be a no-host bar and light appetizers. A silent auction will feature art by regional artists, and offerings from our local businesses.

This year is our 25th Procession season. Your support will help us offer a free Community Art Studio where people can create costumes, floats, luminaries, and batik art for this years Procession of the Species Celebration.
