After seven years of writing and development, the Seward Neighborhood Group has a beautiful book about the history of their dynamic enclave in South Minneapolis. Profusely illustrated, the many chapters explore the communitys changing character, including its Scandinavian roots, railroad porters and working-class families, socialist agitators and community activists, and the arrival of immigrants from East Africa, to name a few. Dr. Richard Musser, part of the team of residents who contributed research and chapters, will show images and talk about the wide-ranging topics addressed in this book.
Books will be available for purchase that day.
