White Guy on the Bus
"What's that white guy doing on the bus? Why does a wealthy white guy from the suburbs take a bus through a poor black neighborhood out to the prison and back every Saturday without getting off at the end of the line?" Week after week, a wealthy white businessman rides the same bus, befriending a single black mom. As they get to know one another, their pasts unfold and tensions rise, igniting a disturbing and crucial exploration of race.This is a play served up with a heaping dish of political "incorrectness". This play literally and figuratively throws political correctness under the bus. White Guy on the Bus is a brutal look at race in America in an explicitly straightforward manner.
