Alcohol Ink Workshop
Alcohol Ink Workshop Susan Blubaugh
February 16, 10:00 AM to 12:30 PM Fee: $35.00 All supplies are included.
Alcohol ink is a fairly new medium in the fine arts world.
Alcohol ink is free-flowing, resistant to control (kind of like a teenager or a three-year-old), and lots of fun. You just never quite know what you will have until completing a painting or application of the ink.
In this workshop, you will be introduced to the basics of ink application, using the substrates of a chicken eggshell, ceramic tiles, and one piece of 5 by 7 yupo (a non-permeable synthetic paper) to create abstract designs.
All materials will be provided and participants will take home a completed eggshell (a truly unique Easter basket embellishment!), two 4 by 4 ceramic tiles, and a small yupo painting.
Participants will have the option of converting one of the tiles into a useable coaster. The yupo painting may be used as a display piece or cut into strips to be used as bookmarks.
Minimum number for workshop: 5; Maximum number of participants: 12
