The Root River Anthology
For our winter play, LCT is excited to present a new work by local performing artist, Catie Glynn: THE ROOT RIVER ANTHOLOGY. Inspired by OUR TOWN, THE SPOON RIVER ANTHOLOGY, and UNDER MILKWOOD--THE ROOT RIVER ANTHOLOGY is a play about a small rural town nestled along the Root River in Southeastern Minnesota. Following an epic flood, the local public telephone booth ends up in a farmer's yard creating long distance connections between the living, the dead, and those in between. In addition to Caties written script, a unique aspect of this work will come from a series of monologue-writing/storytelling workshops conducted by Glynn and attended by local residents, culminating in a truly dynamic production.
