Candlestick follows a group of longtime Bayview residents and 49ers fans tailgating during the teams final season at Candlestick Park in 2013. As they relish the last few games in the parking lot, the struggle to hold onto something permanent in the face of change becomes all the more desperate. Candlestick is an ensemble drama about family, football, the changing face of the Bay Area, and what happens when we are about to lose the things we love.
Recreating a tailgate for both actors and the audience, Candlestick is both a performance and party in one part celebration, part wake, not to be missed.
