Event
Homebrewing for Beginners
The class is Sunday, beginning at 1 PM. Attendees will learn the critical part of boiling, adding hops, chilling, sanitizing, and pitching yeast.
The class will also learn how to bottle a 5 gallon batch of beer (sugar and yeast dosing, sanitizing bottles, crimping crowns, and bottle conditioning). Each participant takes home beers for bottle conditioning at home.
The $50 cost of the 3-Hour class covers supplies, and entitles students to a $10 discount on equipment purchase at the end of the class.
The instructor has experience in a commercial brewery as well as homebrewing, is a beer judge, and owner/manager of a homebrew supply shop. She taught this class eleven times in past year; classmates shared samples of their favorite beers while brewing and bottling.
