SCRATCHING by Britton Buttrill
In the world premiere of SCRATCHING, washed out arts school graduate, Christian, struggles to find a way of life illegally tattooing out of his girlfriend's dirty apartment. Inspired by a love for tattooing, Britton Buttrill's SCRATCHING is a gritty new play that questions the very nature of art and the lengths we go to survive. ***SCRATCHING contains mature content. "[Scratching is] dark, complex, thought-provoking, memory igniting....It is designed to make you think of the relative values of life, including art." -Atlanta Cultural Arts "Buttrill has a nicely tight focus here on a set of four interesting characters, all at moments of crisis and choice...a polished production of strong and interesting new work by a Georgia playwright." -Arts Atl "Playing at Pinch 'n' Ouch Theatre, the edgy drama provides plenty of thought-provoking moments and a little bit of suspense... an enthralling story with interesting characters... Scratching provides an intense drama that will leave a strong impression. -Atlanta Theatre Fans
