Workshop - Shunsuke Kimura: Fue Basics
Shunsuke Kimura knows Japanese music! Composer for the renowned Kodo/Tamasaburo production, "Amaterasu", his extensive training in multiple, traditional musical genres gives him the sensitivity to bring out the best in every instrument. In this workshop Kimura teaches shinobue (bamboo flute) basics, along with valuable information about how to best accompany taiko in an ensemble setting.
Participants should bring:
#6,#7, or #8 "hon-choshi" shinobue. Shinobue will be available for purchase in the Asano Taiko US shop.
