ABOUT THE FILMS:
July 7 "The Gatekeepers" The five former heads of Israel's Secret Service exclusively reflect on their successes and failures to maintain security, even while violence flares up again, this time in the Gaza Strip. (Academy Award Nominee: Best Documentary Feature.)
July 8 "How to Reestablish a Vodka Empire" The story has it all, revolution and romance, exile and entrepreneurship, and at its heart lies a life changing discovery of a vodka distillery in Ukraine.
July 9 "Hitler's Children" A mesmerizing dialogue between the children of the perpetrators of the Holocaust and the children of the survivors.
July 10 "Lea & Darija" An inspiring true story about two 13-year-old girls who were, on the eve of World War II, dancing and acting stars in Zagreb.
July 11 "My Australia" When two brothers join a rowdy anti-Semitic organization, their mother decides to move them from Poland to Australia.
July 14 "The Flat" As a documentarian cleans out the flat that belonged to his grandparents - both immigrants from Nazi Germany - he uncovers clues pointing to a complicated and shocking story. (Israeli Academy Award Winner: Best Documentary and Tribeca Film Festival award winner.)
