A "Degenerate" Cabaret featuring "The Emperor of Atlantis"
Black Box Opera Theater presents a cabaret of music by so-called "degenerate" artists the Nazis tried to suppress, directed by Rhoda Levine with production design by Robert Israel, and featuring Viktor Ullmann's satiric opera "The Emperor of Atlantis." Yaacov Bergman conducts the 13-piece chamber orchestra. Levine and Israel created the world premiere of Ullmann's work at the Netherlands Opera.
