Taste Education Workshop: Single Malt Scotch
Have you sampled a few single malt Scotches in your time but never really had the opportunity to sit down and do a systematic tasting? Or perhaps you've always wanted to try Scotch but never have because of the expense, or because you don't even know where to begin. Either way, this evening is for you.
Come to Wing's Restaurant in Bexley, known to Scotch drinkers throughout Columbus for its breathtaking assortment of Scotch whisky. Ken Yee, Scotch expert and caretaker of the Wing's collection, will pour drams (actually, half-ounce portions) of six different whiskys that highlight both the diversity to be found throughout the Scottish Isles and the effects of aging on Scotch. Ken will talk about each of the malts and its unique characteristics as well as about the process of how Scotch is made and what gives it its unique flavors and aromas. Light snacks will be served, and the price includes tax and tip.
