The Basics of Good Digestion: An Herbalist's Perspective
Do you struggle with digestive issues? Is your doctor not quite addressing the stuff you've been dealing with?
Come join me at the Madrona House Apothecary and learn about some of the main causes of poor digestion in the modern age, and what can be done about it. This class is not about taking an herb and expecting to fixed, but rather to begin to cultivate an understanding of the complex interactions within you and with the outside world. Digestion is a complex topic and we will only be scratching the surface in this class, so I may not have the answers for you. HOWEVER, it is often the simple solutions that are the most profound. Come with an open mind and curious heart.
This class will cover basic lifestyle, dietary and herbal solutions that can help nourish and balance the organs responsible for digestion. Natalie approaches digestion with a mix of Chinese medicine, Western Herbalism and other eclectic pieces she has picked up throughout life. This is just one perspective in the vast ocean of perspectives, so come and harvest what serves you and combine it with your own perspective.
