Join us for our first theatrical event of the season!
Crumpet is not your average elf--and The Santaland Diaries is not your usual cheery Christmas play. This one-man show by beloved humorist and writer David Sedaris chronicles the struggles of Crumpet, a man newly moved to New York City who takes a seasonal job as a mall elf in order to make ends meet. Between over-enthusiastic coworkers, helicopter parents, and the usual riff-raff of New York City, Sedaris's depiction of holiday cheer through the eyes of a grown man wearing an elf suit for minimum wage will ring true for anyone who has ever worked a retail job, or has simply felt less than enthusiastic about the holiday season.
Performed by Butch Maxwell in the style of Reader's Theater, come out for an evening of laughs and de-stressing! Wine will be available by donation. Leave the little ones at home and give yourself the best gift you can this time of year--a break!
Doors open at 6:30, and the show starts at 7:00. Tickets are $15.
