Mary Lambert Presented by the University Book Store
Your ticket includes a copy of the book and admission for two people.
Join us for an evening of poetry and song with Mary Lambert!
Mary Lambert is a multi-faceted artist - a singer, songwriter, musician, mental health advocate, LGBTQ activist, and poet. Along with Macklemore and Ryan Lewis, she is the talent behind the incredible Grammy-nominated single "Same Love." She joins us to celebrate her new poetry collection, "Shame Is an Ocean I Swim Across".
Beautiful and brutally honest, Mary Lambert's poetry is a beacon to anyone who's ever been knocked downand picked themselves up again. In verse that deals with sexual assault, mental illness, and body acceptance, Shame Is an Ocean I Swim Across emerges as an important new voice in poetry, providing strength and resilience even in the darkest of times.
