Martin Chalifour and Friends
Violinist Martin Chalifour, principal concertmaster of the Los Angeles Philharmonic, is joined by an ensemble of fellow orchestra members for a program of music that Thomas Gainsborough would have known-an 18th-century soundtrack to the creation of The Blue Boy. The program features works composed by Gainsborough's friends (and portrait subjects) Carl Friedrich Abel and Johann Christian Bach; British classical composer William Boyce; and Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart.
