NYWW's Writing from Inception to Publication 2: The Sequel, an Online Course with Ravi Shankar
Writing from Inception to Publication 2: The Sequel - building on lessons gleaned from the last class but open to all students, new and old, we will continue generating new material while learning how to best prepare our work for publication. The workshop covers voice, character, form, poetry, prose, and editing. We'll discuss how to circumvent writer's block and look at examples from contemporary and canonical literature on techniques that have worked well. We'll also spend time looking at examples of global writing from Asia, Africa and beyond. Finally, we'll give and receive feedback, generate tons of new material, and work on refining our pieces so that we can find a proper home for them.
The course is entirely ONLINE. It goes live Monday evening, Feb 25, 2019. Six individual modules go live on consecutive Mondays. The course concludes on April 7, 2019.
