Ingrid Larsdottir, Shield Maiden, Viking warrior and newly appointed Garrison Commander, kills it on stage at the popular Norse cultural symposium REDTalks.
Think TEDTalks with a Viking twist.
This one woman show shines light on gender bias in history while exploring contemporary feminist issues like the #metoo movement using the unique perspective of a 10th century woman warrior. Shield Maiden addresses the challenges many women continue to face 1,000 years after a Viking warriors time.
After a brief intermission, Melanie will host a discussion with a panel of modern warrior women: Shiela Norgate, Chloe Straw, Iyeshka Farmer, April Warn-Vannini, EJ Hurst and Sheila Malcomson
