Secret Garden Tour 2013
"Beautiful and Bountiful" perfectly describes the six unique private gardens on this year's Secret Garden Tour in Port Townsend, WA. Sponsored by WSU Jefferson County Extension and Jefferson County Master Gardener Foundation, the tour will be held on Saturday, June 22, 2013, 10 am to 4 pm. This is a wonderful opportunity to gain entry to these beautiful gardens normally not viewable from the street. The combinations of plantings in these gardens inspire those who seek a garden-to-table experience as well as those enjoying ornamental groupings that can be so welcoming to visitors. These special gardens provide examples of sustainable solutions, including year-round production and interest, outdoor "rooms," efficient food production, composting, and irrigation. Enjoy the imagination, creativity, and sustainable spirit reflected in this year's secret gardens!
