First Annual Athens Local Food Awards Ceremony and Banquet
PLACE believes that accomplishing our mission of building a strong local food culture requires a simple foundation of taste. Through the simple act of eating and taking the time to enjoy a meal using local ingredients, people can taste the difference in quality and freshness of locally-grown food. This opens a door for PLACE to elaborate on the environmental and economic, personal and communal benefits of eating locally and building a culture around locally-grown food.
The First Annual Athens Local Food Awards Ceremony and Banquet is the culmination of Taste Your Place, a 10-day fundraising and awareness raising event for PLACE that reaches out to people through their taste buds.
Farm 255 will be preparing 4 delicious, expertly prepared courses featuring food grown on local farms. A meat, fish, and vegetarian option will be available.
