Songs of the Season
The holiday season can't begin without our annual Christmas/Holiday Extravaganza. All the beauty and joy you've come to expect from Pioneer UCC will be presented once again at "Songs of The Season". Our 35 voice Celebration Choir and 18 member Pioneer Orchestra under the direction of Jim Jordan will present music from a meditative "Some Children See Him" to the classic "Christmas Time Is Here" to timeless carols. Our Master StoryTeller is once again the fabulous Donna Apidone of Capital Public Radio.
Because of the homeless crisis in Sacramento, homeless youth, ages 13-24 need our help more than ever. This year the proceeds will benefit WIND YOUTH SERVICES who do just that. WIND YOUTH SERVICES provides street outreach, counseling, case management, therapeutic groups, health clinic and emergency shelter.
Come, enjoy, help your neighbor and leave humming your favorite holiday song or carol. And stop by our reception after the performance for some punch and Christmas cookies! Join us and experience why "Songs of the Season" has become a family and Sacramento tradition.
