Skyview Performing Arts is proud to present the 10th Anniversary Edition of our spectacular 2009 hit production, Seussical! This is a reimagining of our original production with a new set, a streamlined cast, and featuring all of Skyview Performing Arts: Choir, Theatre, Orchestra, Band, and Dance!
Mr. Philip Denton is back in the Director chair for his 23rd show bringing this fantastic, dazzling show back in spectacular style! Co-Directing with is Skyview's new theatre teacher, Mr. Kerry Jeffrey. Mr. Jeffrey and Mr Denton have assembled an amazing team of skilled artists and coaches to reinvent this show for our amazing Vancouver community.
Ted Fleming is back as Art Director leading a team of eager students digging deep into Dr. Seuss art to reproduce his grandeur onstage and beyond. Working with a similar set structure, the design team is studying the art of Dr. Seuss (and Theodore Geisel) from his childrens books to his paintings and sculptures, to design exciting new visuals that are Seuss-like, but from their own minds!
Choreographer Josh Murray-Hawkins makes his Skyview Theatre debut with an exciting set of movements and dance that make Dr. Seuss drawings come alive! His extensive experience in dance performance and instruction come together to create a new world of movement for our outrageous Dr. Seuss world.
Sharon Riley returns as Costume Director to bring dazzling fabrics and designs to create the worlds of the Jungle of Nool and Whoville. Many remember her award nominated costumes for our 2015 production of The Music Man.
We welcome you to join us in January in Whoville and the Jungle of Nool for the adventures of a young Thinker with a wild imagination! Our production is family-friendly and child-friendly with fun activities for all ages available at intermission. This is a show for the whole family that you wont want to miss!
All proceeds from this production will go directly to fund the Performing Arts Programs at Skyview. Our sponsors generous donations and your ticket purchases will provide instruments, sheet music, microphones, rights for plays and musicals, equipment, and scholarships for students.
